Material

The shell of the HJC RPHA 1 V2 Carbon is made from carbon fiber, a very strong and lightweight material that gives excellent protection during a crash. Because the helmet is so light, it helps to reduce neck fatigue, especially during long rides or at high speeds.

The RPHA 1 V2 weighs only 1400 grams (+/- 50 grams) in size M, making it one of the lightest helmets in its class. Additionally, the carbon helmet comes in 4 different shell sizes, so the RPHA 1 V2 always looks compact and fits better on the head. Sizes go from XS to XXL, so most riders can find the perfect fit.

Comfort

Inside the helmet, you’ll find a soft and snug inner liner that feels comfortable even during long rides. The inner liner is moisture wicking and quick drying, which means it stays fresh and dry even when you sweat. Furthermore, the cheek pads and crown pad are removable and washable, so you can always keep your helmet clean. This helmet is also glasses-friendly, so riders can wear their glasses easily.

For safety, the Emergency Quick Release allows medical staff to remove the helmet quickly and safely after an accident. There is also a chin curtain which helps block out wind and makes the helmet quieter, while the breath guard helps reduce fog on the visor. The RPHA 1 V2 Carbon is also prepared for a communication system thanks to speaker pockets. Finally, there is a Double-D closure that keeps the helmet safely in place at all times.

Visor

The RPHA 1 V2 Carbon comes with the clear HJ-35 visor, which gives a wide field of view so you can see everything around you. The visor is scratch resistant and UV protective, so your eyes are safe from sunlight and debris.

This helmet also has a strong visor mechanism that pulls the visor close to the shell for better noise reduction and a tighter seal. Additionally, the helmet is Pinlock prepared, and there is a Pinlock included in the box, preventing visor condensation. HJC also included an additional dark smoke visor with this helmet.

Ventilation

The helmet has 3 top vents and 2 chin vents that let in cool air, while the exhausts push warm air out. Inside, air channels in the EPS liner help the air move around your head to keep you cool. The spoiler improves aerodynamics, giving you more stability at high speeds and a more comfortable ride. There is also an additional spoiler included in the box for better aerodynamics.
