TXC250 Husqvarna

Husqvarna TXC250 $8049 MSRP

The TXC 250 is a completely new, revolutionary machine. The biggest innovation is the new 250 cc engine that, at only 22 Kg., is without any shadow of doubt the point of reference for this category.

Compared with the TXC 08 engine, on the new 250 Husqvarna, the distance between the primary transmission and the centre is decreased by about 16% and the distance between the gearbox and the centre is reduced by about 7%. Length, width and height have been decreased by 13%.
The single cylinder water-cooled four-stroke engine features 4 radial valves while bore and stroke are 79 and 50.9 mm respectively to give a capacity of 249.5 cc.
The engine breathes through 4 titanium radial valves driven by twin overhead combined chain/gear drive cams.
Wet multi-plate clutch, 7 driving plates - 6 driven.
Five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Lubrication is taken care of by a dry sump system with rotor pump. The engine and gearbox combined hold about 900 grams of oil. The TXC has both electric and kick start systems.
The frame is completely new, lighter and has a redesigned geometry. All the body panels have been redesigned so as to make the bike especially compact, slim and manageable. The dry weight of the new Husqvarna is the minimum allowable in its category thus adding to its appeal and performance.
The rear suspension has a new Soft Damp system with a new leverage ratio, new progression curve and decreased frame load. The chain tension effect has been optimised as has the traction. The new aluminium swing arm features an asymmetric geometry extruded box aluminium centre housing the off-set shock absorber.
The suspension features new sealed cartridge Kayaba 48 mm forks and a new Sachs shock absorber. The brakes discs are of daisy (wave) design.

TXC450 Husquvarna

Husqvarna TXC450 $8854 MSRP

The 2010 version of the TXC 450 benefits from new Kayaba upside down forks with AOS and Kashima coat treatment that increase the effectiveness of the shock absorbing system and make the forks operate more smoothly.

The fork steering clamps are also new as is the swing arm that has been shortened by 15 mm to improve the progression of the rear suspension and the manoeuvrability of the machine.
The engine has been updated with new carburettor settings and new radiator hoses and a more powerful water pump have been fitted so as to improve cooling and performance.
All the new body panels have IPD (in–mould plastic decoration) graphics and are made of stronger, more flexible plastic.

TXC510 Husqvarna

Husqvarna TXC510 $9199 MSRP

The TXC 510 is the queen of the desert. A firm favourite with riders wanting power, manoeuvrability and comfort on long journeys, the 2010 version of the TXC 510 offers explosive power and, with its weight trimmed to the bone, ensures the greatest of enjoyment to professional and amateur riders alike. There are new, stronger, more flexible plastic body panels with IPD graphics. The new Kayaba 48mm forks are fully adjustable for compression and rebound. The high performance cartridge has a 28mm piston that provides excellent shock absorbing characteristics and rider feel. The frame has been reinforced at the main critical points as on all the twin-cam enduro models. The swing arm has been shortened by 15 mm to improve manoeuvrability and the progressive action of the rear suspension.
